So thats it?

In case you havn't looked outside, the snow is slowly disappearing and turning into lakes and rivers down streets and roads. This means no more snowboarding for the season. Thats it, the resorts are closed and the snow is gone. I have been getting quite a few questions about the green though. Things like, "when summer is here what is going to happen to green soda? Are you guys just going to hold out until next winter??" The answer to this question is "NO!". We are going to be making an alternate site for Green Soda for the "summer edition". We will be posting all about skateboarding, biking and all the other fun summer things everyone does when there is no snow on the ground! So be ready because even though snow season is done, we have another 6 or so months of nice weather to have fun!

B.C. Trip

As some of you may know fairly recently (like 2 weeks before march break)I went to BC For a week for some major snowboard shreddij. It was the best snowboarding I've ever done and the craziest views I've ever seen. Vancouver is like a dream land there is no snow on the ground at normal level ( Yeah!! biking) but all you do is go up a ten minute gondola ride and your at the best snowboarding in the world. If you ever get a chance to go. GO! Don't even think just go. Anyway I thought I would post a few pics of the views I saw.

You may notice some spelling mistakes (Liam "Willi" instead of Willis, and Mitchell "Adam" Instead of Adams.) I don't know why this happened I've gone back and made sure that we spelled everything correctly but when it was uploaded and published to my computer it seems to cut the S off the names. I don't know what happened but my apologies for the Typo's.

My Slack update on the Nike Snowboarding boots

Yeah I'm slack!

I'v been really wanting to post something, but it had to be legit. Basically I love Nike and there Sb series of shoes. but this post is not on there shoe line. It is regarding there new and up coming line of boots. These boots are based on the modeling of the Nike Air Force 1 which everyone is familiar with. Not a lot has been said (in English) about the releasing of the New Nike's Snowboarding Boot's but it is rumored to be dropping in August through October, I'm guessing that is not in Canada because all the information is in french or some freaky deacky language but they will be coming to north amarica eventually. I know what your thinking I really Need get my hands on a pair of these but if they are anything like the Nike Sb shoes i bet they will be REALLY!!!! hard to find and very rare in Canada or at least Ontario. They have come up with four men's models and three women's. I know i will be trying hard to cop me a pair.

HVR Big Air + Slopestyle

Hey Everyone,

Be sure to checkout the details for the Hockley Big Air and Slopestyle that are going down on JP in March.

To qualify for the events you simply ride in the railjam styled afternoon event and then get a bib if you impress a judge! Its gonna be pretty sick.

If we get enough people to the event we are allowed to keep the park on JP for the March Break!

Some Changes!

Boring week

Have not gotten the chance to go to Hockley yet this week so it's been pretty boring for me and the green, havn't even gone jibbin. So Tomorow, Friday February 15th I am going to Hockley Valley Resort, so be watchin I'm going to bring the camera and well get some sick pics and vids of everyone and put them on the Facebook group and here!

Local Points

So when there is no ride to hockley or blue, go jibbin! There are a few fun little places around town where you can strap on your bindings and have some fun. This weeks Local Point is "The Kin Family park"- There is a little hill there and a garbage can that is always somewhere around the park, take it and set it up! You can build a little kicker to gap over it or you could to some stuff on it, either way its still a fun way to spend an afternoon. You can also bring a rail over there to jib on and its pretty fun!

"Tell a Friend Day"

So we need some more people in the facebook group and more people checking the website daily before we can really take off! Today and tomorow will be "Tell a Friend day" for Green Soda Snowboards. If everyone sees that 1 more person would join the facebook group and/or check out the website, then our numbers will double! My name is Sean and I'm the Park Manager out at Hockley. To help keep everyone in on the park updates etc I'm going to post on here whenever I can get a chance.



You can expect a new park setup on Thursday night! We will be ripping everything out tomorrow night and will be re-doing it at 5AM on Thursday morning. Some features include the picnic table (setup like diddle daddle), downslope canada box, and an up-sloped pipe.

I have found it!

I have finally found a good website that you can buy things with your logo and stuff on it for pretty cheap! You all know what that means! MERCHANDISE! From shirts to wall clocks and everything in between! I'm going to start ordering sometime in the up and coming months, so be on the look out. It's main colours red and green, graffiti style text, blue stars, speech bubble "It's Fresh", and the NEW Green Soda Bottle! ahaha i think its pretty cool.
